The Moulin de Labique
offers a choice of 5 rooms, 1 suite and 1 apartment, all with
en suite bathroom. Each unit has its own character, individually
tiled and carpeted, with its own antique furniture, paintings
and etchings along with views of the ponds, the ancient mill
and park land.
The 25 hectares of Domaine
du Moulin de Labique comprise an 18th century country residence
which originally, from the 13th century, was a fortified manor.
There are now converted out buildings along with stables and
ancient mill. It is situated in idyllic rolling pasture and park
land in the heart of the Haut-Agenais-Perigord (Aquitaine) in
the South West region of France, equidistant to the rivers Dordogne
and Garonne.
We, Christine and Patrick,
guarantee our guests a friendly welcome and we invite the discerning
visitor to enjoy an enchanting and tranquil environment with
a vast choice of walks or hikes meandering between well stocked
fish ponds and stream. On the other hand, especialy on hot summer
days, you may prefer to relax next to the private swimming pool
with a drink and a good book. In the evening enjoy a superb dinner
on the wine covered terrace overlooking the ancient mill and
mill pond. Dependant upon the season, dinner may also be served
in the cosy, elegant dining room with the roaring open fire in
the hearth.
Helene serves only home
grown and local produce complementing her emphasis on the regional
world famous cuisine. Specialities include: foie gras mi-cuit
de canard, cassoulet aux feves, civet de canard au vin de Cahors,
magret de canard marine a l'Armagnac sauce miel et echalotte...
